Description
A sweet and savory dish featuring chicken coated in a luscious honey garlic glaze, perfect for family gatherings.
Ingredients
Scale
- 2 lbs Chicken Thighs (or breasts)
- 1/2 cup Honey
- 1/4 cup Soy Sauce
- 4 cloves Garlic, minced
- 1 tsp Ginger, grated
- 1 tbsp Cornstarch
- 2 Green Onions, sliced (for garnish)
Instructions
- Prepare the Marinade: In a large bowl, whisk together honey, soy sauce, garlic, ginger, and cornstarch until smooth.
- Marinate the Chicken: Add the chicken thighs to the bowl, ensuring they’re fully coated. Let it marinate for at least 15 minutes.
- Heat the Pan: Preheat a large skillet or frying pan over medium heat. Add a splash of cooking oil.
- Cook the Chicken: Remove the chicken from the marinade and add it to the skillet, cooking for about 5-7 minutes on each side until cooked through and golden brown.
- Create the Sauce: Pour the reserved marinade into the pan with the chicken. Bring it to a simmer and let it thicken for about 3 minutes.
- Serve and Enjoy: Plate up the chicken and drizzle the sauce over the top. Garnish with sliced green onions.
Notes
For a spicy kick, add a teaspoon of red pepper flakes. Substitute chicken with tofu for a vegetarian option.
