Description
Delicious Smash Burger Tacos combining juicy burgers and crispy tortillas, perfect for family gatherings.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 lb Ground beef (80/20 blend)
- 4 Tortillas (flour or corn)
- 4 slices Cheese (cheddar or American)
- Toppings (lettuce, tomato, pickles)
- Seasonings (salt, pepper, garlic powder)
- Oil (for cooking)
Instructions
- Heat your skillet: Begin by heating a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add a splash of oil to ensure the meat gets that delicious sear.
- Form the patties: Take your ground beef and form small, loose patties about the size of your tortillas. Don’t worry about them being perfect!
- Smash and sear: Place the patties in the hot skillet and firmly smash them down with a spatula. Season with salt and pepper. Let them cook for about 3-4 minutes until a crust forms.
- Add cheese: Flip the patties and place a slice of cheese on top. Cook for another 2-3 minutes, allowing the cheese to melt.
- Warm tortillas: While the burgers finish cooking, heat your tortillas in a separate skillet or directly over the flame for a few seconds on each side until warm and pliable.
- Assemble the tacos: Place each patty in a warm tortilla and top with your favorite toppings.
Notes
For a healthier option, substitute the ground beef with ground turkey or plant-based alternatives.
