- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 4 cloves of fresh garlic, minced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- ½ cup chicken broth (low sodium)
- 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
- Salt, to taste
- Black pepper, to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
- Season the pork chops liberally with salt and black pepper on both sides.
- Sear the pork chops in the skillet for about 4-5 minutes on each side until golden crusted.
- Remove the pork chops to a plate and cover loosely with foil.
- Make the garlic sauce by sautéing minced garlic in the same skillet until fragrant.
- Add heavy cream and chicken broth, stirring to combine with Dijon mustard.
- Thicken the sauce by simmering for about 5 minutes until it has a creamy texture.
- Return the pork chops to the skillet and spoon sauce over them, cooking for another 2-3 minutes.
- Serve garnished with freshly chopped parsley.
Notes
For a lighter version, substitute Greek yogurt for heavy cream. Consider adding mushrooms or spinach for seasonal variations.
