Description

A comforting dish featuring tender pork chops in a creamy garlic sauce, perfect for busy weeknights.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 pork chops (bone-in or boneless, your choice)
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 4 cloves of fresh garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • ½ cup chicken broth (low sodium)
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • Salt, to taste
  • Black pepper, to taste
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  2. Season the pork chops liberally with salt and black pepper on both sides.
  3. Sear the pork chops in the skillet for about 4-5 minutes on each side until golden crusted.
  4. Remove the pork chops to a plate and cover loosely with foil.
  5. Make the garlic sauce by sautéing minced garlic in the same skillet until fragrant.
  6. Add heavy cream and chicken broth, stirring to combine with Dijon mustard.
  7. Thicken the sauce by simmering for about 5 minutes until it has a creamy texture.
  8. Return the pork chops to the skillet and spoon sauce over them, cooking for another 2-3 minutes.
  9. Serve garnished with freshly chopped parsley.

Notes

For a lighter version, substitute Greek yogurt for heavy cream. Consider adding mushrooms or spinach for seasonal variations.
