Description

A classic Southern dessert, this peach cobbler combines sweet ripe peaches, a rich buttery batter, and warm spices for the ultimate comfort food.


Ingredients

  • 4 cups Fresh Peaches, sliced
  • 1 cup Granulated Sugar
  • 1 cup Flour
  • 1 cup Milk
  • 1/2 cup Butter, melted
  • 1 tbsp Baking Powder
  • 1/4 tsp Salt
  • 1 tsp Cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp Nutmeg

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Mix the sliced peaches with sugar and let them sit for about 10 minutes.
  3. Whisk together the flour, baking powder, salt, sugar, milk, and melted butter until smooth.
  4. Pour the batter into a greased baking dish, then spoon the peach mixture on top.
  5. Bake for 45 minutes, or until golden brown and bubbly.
  6. Cool slightly before serving warm, ideally with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.

Notes

You can use canned or frozen peaches if fresh peaches are not available. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
