Description
A delicious and easy One-Pan Honey Garlic Chicken recipe that combines sweet and savory flavors for a comforting meal.
Ingredients
Scale
- 4 chicken thighs (skin-on for added flavor)
- 1/3 cup honey (for that perfect sweetness)
- 1/4 cup soy sauce (adds depth and richness)
- 3 cloves garlic, minced (the aromatic star of the show)
- 1 tablespoon olive oil (for cooking)
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Optional: green onions and sesame seeds for garnish
Instructions
- Prepare the chicken: Season the chicken thighs with salt and pepper on both sides. Let them sit while you prep the sauce.
- Make the sauce: In a bowl, mix together honey, soy sauce, and minced garlic until well combined.
- Sear the chicken: Heat olive oil in a large pan over medium-high heat. Once the oil is hot, add the chicken thighs skin-side down. Sear them for about 5 minutes until golden brown.
- Add the sauce: Flip the chicken and pour the honey garlic sauce over it. Bring it to a simmer, then reduce the heat to low.
- Cook thoroughly: Cover the pan and cook for an additional 15-20 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through and the internal temperature reads 165°F (75°C).
- Glaze and serve: Remove the lid and spoon sauce over the chicken, allowing it to caramelize for a few more minutes. Serve warm, garnished with sliced green onions and sesame seeds.
Notes
Can swap chicken thighs for boneless chicken breast for a leaner option. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to three days.
