Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Combine flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt in a large bowl.
  3. Whisk together the egg, milk, melted butter, and vanilla extract in another bowl.
  4. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and fold gently.
  5. Fold in your chosen mix-ins.
  6. Line a muffin tin with paper liners and spoon the batter into each cup.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for 18-20 minutes.
  8. Let them cool for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack.

Notes

For a healthier option, substitute half the sugar with mashed bananas or applesauce.
