- 1 cup long grain white rice
- 1 can cream of chicken soup
- 1 can cream of mushroom soup
- 2 cups chicken broth
- 1 packet onion soup mix
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder (optional)
- Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F. Lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
- Spread the uncooked rice evenly across the bottom of the dish.
- Stir together the soups, chicken broth, onion soup mix, black pepper, and optional garlic powder in a large bowl until smooth.
- Pour the mixture over the rice and gently stir just enough to distribute the liquid evenly.
- Place the chicken on top of the rice mixture in a single layer.
- Dot the top with butter.
- Cover tightly with foil.
- Bake for about 90 minutes, until the rice is tender and the chicken reaches 165°F.
- Let it rest for 5-10 minutes before serving.
