Ingredients

  • 8 oz orzo pasta
  • 1 lb prawns, peeled and deveined
  • 4 tbsp butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes
  • Juice of 1 lemon

Instructions

  1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and cook the orzo according to package instructions until al dente (usually around 8-10 minutes).
  2. Melt the butter in a skillet over medium heat.
  3. Add the minced garlic to the skillet, sautéing for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
  4. Toss in the prawns and red pepper flakes, cooking for 3-5 minutes until the prawns are pink and opaque.
  5. Drain the orzo and add it to the skillet, mixing well to coat with the garlic butter sauce.
  6. Squeeze fresh lemon juice over the top and stir in chopped parsley. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  7. Serve hot, garnished with additional parsley and lemon wedges if desired.

Notes
