- 2 pounds boneless chicken breasts or thighs
- 1 can cream of chicken soup
- 1 cup chicken broth
- 1 onion, chopped
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- Salt, to taste
- Pepper, to taste
- Optional: thyme or rosemary
Instructions
- Place the chicken in the bottom of the crockpot.
- Mix together the cream of chicken soup and chicken broth until well combined. Pour this mixture over the chicken.
- Sprinkle onion, garlic powder, salt, and pepper over everything.
- Cover the crockpot and set to low for 360 minutes (6 hours) or high for 240 minutes (4 hours).
- Once the chicken is tender, shred it directly in the pot or remove it to shred and then return it to the gravy. Stir well to combine.
Notes
For added flavor, consider searing the chicken before placing it in the crockpot. You can also add vegetables like carrots and peas for extra nutrition.
