Description
A delightful family favorite featuring tender chicken pieces coated in a crunchy, golden crust and a sweet yet savory sesame glaze.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 lb boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1/2 cup cornstarch
- 2 tbsp sesame oil
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 2 tbsp sesame seeds
- 2 tbsp honey
Instructions
- Prep the chicken: Cut the chicken into bite-sized pieces and pat them dry.
- Coat it up: In a bowl, mix cornstarch with a pinch of salt and pepper. Dredge each piece of chicken in the mixture until fully coated.
- Heat the oil: In a skillet, heat sesame oil over medium-high heat until it shimmers.
- Fry until golden: Place the chicken pieces in the skillet, ensuring they are not overcrowded. Cook until they’re golden brown and crispy, about 5-7 minutes on each side.
- Prepare the sauce: In a separate bowl, whisk together soy sauce, honey, and sesame seeds.
- Combine and glaze: Once the chicken is cooked, pour the sauce over the chicken and toss to coat evenly.
- Garnish and serve: Sprinkle with extra sesame seeds and serve warm.
