Ingredients

- 2 cups All-Purpose Flour
- 1 cup Granulated Sugar
- 2 tsp Baking Powder
- 1/2 tsp Salt
- 1/2 cup Unsalted Butter, softened
- 2 large Eggs
- 1 cup Sour Cream
- 1 tsp Cinnamon
- Optional Toppings: Streusel or fresh fruits
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9-inch round cake pan.
- Cream together the softened butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add in the eggs, one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
- Stir in the sour cream until combined.
- Whisk together the flour, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon in another bowl.
- Slowly add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture until just combined.
- Pour half of the batter into the prepared cake pan, then sprinkle with optional toppings.
- Add the remaining batter on top and bake for 35–40 minutes.
- Allow the cake to cool before slicing.
Notes
You can substitute Greek yogurt for sour cream and experiment with different spices or toppings.
