Ingredients

  • 1 cup Granulated Sugar
  • 2 tsp Baking Powder
  • 1/2 tsp Salt
  • 1/2 cup Unsalted Butter, softened
  • 2 large Eggs
  • 1 cup Sour Cream
  • 1 tsp Cinnamon
  • Optional Toppings: Streusel or fresh fruits

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9-inch round cake pan.
  2. Cream together the softened butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Add in the eggs, one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
  4. Stir in the sour cream until combined.
  5. Whisk together the flour, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon in another bowl.
  6. Slowly add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture until just combined.
  7. Pour half of the batter into the prepared cake pan, then sprinkle with optional toppings.
  8. Add the remaining batter on top and bake for 35–40 minutes.
  9. Allow the cake to cool before slicing.

Notes

You can substitute Greek yogurt for sour cream and experiment with different spices or toppings.
