- 2 large Onions, thinly sliced
- 8 oz Cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup Sour cream
- 1/2 cup Mayonnaise
- 1 tsp Garlic powder
- Salt and pepper, to taste
Instructions
- Prepare the onions: Thinly slice the onions and set them aside.
- Cook the onions: In a large skillet, melt some butter over medium heat. Add the onions, stirring occasionally, until they turn a deep golden brown, about 20-25 minutes.
- Mix the dip: In a mixing bowl, combine cream cheese, sour cream, and mayonnaise until smooth. Stir in garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
- Add caramelized onions: Fold in the caramelized onions into the mixture gently, ensuring even distribution.
- Bake: Transfer the mixture to an oven-safe dish and bake it in a preheated oven at 350°F (175°C) for 15-20 minutes, until it’s bubbly and heated through.
Notes
Feel free to customize this dip by adding toasted nuts or fresh herbs. It can also be made ahead of time and kept chilled until ready to bake.
