- 3 large Ripe Bananas
- 1 cup All-Purpose Flour
- ⅓ cup Cocoa Powder
- ¾ cup Brown Sugar
- 2 Eggs
- ½ cup Butter or Coconut Oil
- 1 teaspoon Baking Powder
- 1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract
- Chocolate Chips or Nuts (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease an 8×8 inch baking pan, or line it with parchment paper.
- Mash the ripe bananas in a large bowl until smooth.
- Mix in the melted butter or coconut oil, then add the eggs and vanilla extract. Whisk until blended.
- Combine the flour, cocoa powder, brown sugar, and baking powder in a separate bowl.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, mixing gently until no flour streaks remain.
- Fold in chocolate chips or nuts, then pour the batter into your prepared pan.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out mostly clean with some moist crumbs.
- Allow to cool in the pan for about 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely before cutting.
Notes
Serve warm with vanilla ice cream and a drizzle of chocolate sauce for an indulgent treat.
