Ingredients

  • 3 large Ripe Bananas
  • 1 cup All-Purpose Flour
  • ⅓ cup Cocoa Powder
  • ¾ cup Brown Sugar
  • 2 Eggs
  • ½ cup Butter or Coconut Oil
  • 1 teaspoon Baking Powder
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract
  • Chocolate Chips or Nuts (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease an 8×8 inch baking pan, or line it with parchment paper.
  2. Mash the ripe bananas in a large bowl until smooth.
  3. Mix in the melted butter or coconut oil, then add the eggs and vanilla extract. Whisk until blended.
  4. Combine the flour, cocoa powder, brown sugar, and baking powder in a separate bowl.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, mixing gently until no flour streaks remain.
  6. Fold in chocolate chips or nuts, then pour the batter into your prepared pan.
  7. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out mostly clean with some moist crumbs.
  8. Allow to cool in the pan for about 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely before cutting.

Notes

Serve warm with vanilla ice cream and a drizzle of chocolate sauce for an indulgent treat.
