- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/4 cup milk
- 1/2 onion, finely chopped
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 1 large egg
- 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1/2 cup ketchup
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Mix together ground beef, breadcrumbs, milk, onion, garlic, egg, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper in a large bowl.
- Form the mixture into a loaf shape in a baking dish.
- Prepare the topping by mixing ketchup with Worcestershire sauce and spreading it over the top of the loaf.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 45 minutes.
- Check doneness with a meat thermometer; it should read at least 160°F (70°C).
- Rest the meatloaf for 10 minutes before slicing.
