Delicious and healthier alternative to traditional fried chicken, made in an air fryer for a crispy texture.
Ingredients

- 4 Chicken thighs or breasts
- 1 cup Buttermilk
- 1 cup Flour (or gluten-free alternative)
- 1 tsp Paprika
- 1 tsp Garlic powder
- 1 tsp Salt
- 1/2 tsp Pepper
- Optional: Cayenne pepper or hot sauce for flavor
Instructions
- Start with marination: Soak chicken pieces in buttermilk for at least 30 minutes.
- Prepare the coating: Mix flour, paprika, garlic powder, salt, and pepper in a bowl.
- Coat the chicken: Dredge each piece in the flour mixture after removing from buttermilk.
- Preheat the air fryer to 375°F (190°C) for about 5 minutes.
- Air fry the chicken: Place pieces in a single layer, cooking for 10 minutes, flip, and cook another 10 minutes until golden brown.
Notes
For extra crispiness, spray olive oil over the coated chicken before cooking. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
