Turkish Chicken Kebabs (Chicken Skewers)

Description

Delicious Turkish chicken kebabs marinated in rich spices, perfect for gatherings and quick dinners.


Ingredients

  • 1.5 lbs Boneless Chicken Thighs
  • 1/4 cup Olive Oil
  • 1/2 cup Greek Yogurt
  • Juice of 1 Lemon
  • 3 cloves Garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon Paprika
  • 1 teaspoon Cumin
  • Salt and Pepper to taste
  • Bell Peppers and Red Onion for skewering

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine olive oil, Greek yogurt, lemon juice, minced garlic, paprika, cumin, salt, and pepper. Whisk until smooth.
  2. Add the chicken thighs and coat them well in the marinade. Cover and let marinate in the fridge for at least 1 hour.
  3. Preheat your grill or grill pan over medium-high heat.
  4. Chop the bell peppers and red onion into bite-sized pieces.
  5. Thread the marinated chicken onto the skewers, alternating with pieces of bell pepper and onion.
  6. Grill the skewers for about 15 minutes, turning occasionally until the chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (75°C).
  7. Serve warm with additional lemon juice drizzled on top.

Notes

Marinate longer for deeper flavors. Use metal skewers for better heat conduction.
