A comforting and traditional Italian lasagna filled with layers of pasta, meat, cheese, and rich marinara sauce, perfect for family gatherings.

- 12 Lasagna Noodles
- 1 lb Ground Beef or Italian Sausage
- 3 cups Marinara Sauce
- 2 cups Ricotta Cheese
- 3 cups shredded Mozzarella Cheese
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan Cheese
- 2 large Eggs
- Fresh Basil and Oregano (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Cook the Lasagna Noodles in a large pot of salted boiling water until al dente, then drain and set aside.
- In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat and add ground meat. Cook until browned.
- Pour in the marinara sauce, stir, and let it simmer for 10 minutes.
- In a bowl, combine ricotta cheese, eggs, and salt, adding basil or oregano if desired.
- In a 9×13 inch baking dish, layer meat sauce, noodles, ricotta mixture, mozzarella, and Parmesan, repeating layers.
- Cover with foil and bake for 25 minutes, then remove the foil and bake for an additional 20 minutes until cheese is bubbly.
- Let it rest for at least 15 minutes before slicing.
Notes
Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container for up to three days or frozen for up to three months. Let rest after baking to prevent layers from sliding.
