Ingredients

- 1 lb chicken breasts (or thighs)
- 1 cup plain yogurt
- 2 tbsp tandoori spice mix
- 2 tbsp lemon juice
- 2 tbsp vegetable oil
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tbsp fresh ginger, grated
- 1 tsp salt (adjust to taste)
- Skewers (metal or soaked wooden)
Instructions
- Prepare the Marinade: In a mixing bowl, combine yogurt, tandoori spice mix, lemon juice, vegetable oil, minced garlic, grated ginger, and salt. Whisk until smooth.
- Marinate the Chicken: Cut the chicken into bite-sized chunks, add to the marinade, and mix well. Cover and refrigerate for at least 1-2 hours or overnight.
- Preheat the Grill: Heat the grill to medium-high or preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C).
- Skewer the Chicken: Thread the marinated chicken onto skewers, leaving space between each piece.
- Grill the Skewers: Cook for about 5-7 minutes on each side until fully cooked and charred.
- Serve and Savor: Remove from grill, allow to rest for a few minutes, and serve hot.
Notes
For a vegetarian option, substitute chicken with shrimp or tofu. Marinate longer for deeper flavor.
