Delightful pastry bites filled with creamy Brie and sweet sugar plum preserves, perfect for festive gatherings.


Ingredients

  • 1 sheet of puff pastry
  • 8 oz Brie cheese, softened
  • 1 cup sugar plum preserves
  • 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
  • Fresh thyme (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. On a lightly floured surface, roll out the puff pastry sheet to a ¼-inch thickness.
  3. Using a sharp knife or pizza cutter, slice the pastry into even squares, about 3×3 inches each.
  4. Take each square and place a small spoonful of sugar plum preserves in the center. Top with a small slice of Brie cheese.
  5. Fold the corners of the pastry over the cheese and preserves, pinching to seal them tightly.
  6. Beat the egg in a small bowl and brush the mixture over the tops of each pastry bite.
  7. Place them on the prepared baking sheet and bake for 12-15 minutes until puffed and golden brown.
  8. Remove from the oven and let them cool for a few minutes before serving.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to three days. To reheat, pop in a preheated oven at 350°F (175°C) for about 10 minutes.
