Ingredients

6 tbsp unsalted butter (room temp), plus extra for pan

1½ cups all-purpose flour

1½ tsp baking powder

½ tsp salt

1 cup granulated sugar

1 large egg

½ cup milk

1 tsp vanilla extract

1 lb strawberries, hulled & halved
Instructions

Preheat oven to 350°F. Grease a 9″ pan.

Whisk flour, baking powder, and salt.

Beat butter and sugar until fluffy. Add egg and vanilla.

Alternately add flour mixture and milk; mix until just combined.

Bake 25–30 min until a toothpick comes out clean. Cool slightly.

Top with strawberries and serve.
