- 1 box chocolate cake mix
- 3 large eggs
- 1/2 cup vegetable oil
- 1 cup warm water
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 2 cups fresh strawberries, sliced
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13 inch baking dish.
- In a mixing bowl, combine the chocolate cake mix, eggs, vegetable oil, and warm water. Mix until just combined.
- Pour half of the cake batter into the prepared baking dish.
- In a separate bowl, blend the softened cream cheese and powdered sugar until smooth.
- Drop spoonfuls of the cream cheese mixture over the cake batter.
- Top with the remaining cake batter, covering the cream cheese mixture completely.
- Arrange the sliced strawberries on top, pressing them gently into the batter.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Let it cool for at least 15 minutes before slicing.
Notes
For a lighter option, substitute cream cheese with Greek yogurt. Add a splash of vanilla extract for extra flavor.
