- 3 large eggs (room temperature)
- 1 1/2 cups strawberries, hulled and sliced
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 2 cups powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large mixing bowl, stir together the yellow cake mix, water (or milk), vegetable oil, and eggs until smooth.
- Pour half of the cake batter into a greased 9×13 inch baking pan and layer the sliced strawberries on top.
- In another bowl, beat the softened cream cheese until creamy, then mix in the powdered sugar and vanilla until smooth; dollop this over the strawberries.
- Pour the remaining cake batter over the cream cheese layer and bake for 35 to 40 minutes.
- Let cool for a few minutes, slice, and enjoy warm.
