A delightful cake combining chocolate and strawberries, perfect for family gatherings and celebrations.


Ingredients

  • 1 box of chocolate cake mix
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 cup of water
  • 1/2 cup of vegetable oil
  • 1 cup of fresh strawberries, sliced
  • 1 cup of powdered sugar
  • 8 oz cream cheese
  • 1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the chocolate cake mix, eggs, water, and vegetable oil. Beat on medium speed for about 2 minutes until the batter is smooth.
  3. Fold in the sliced strawberries gently.
  4. In another bowl, beat together the cream cheese and powdered sugar until smooth.
  5. Pour half of the cake batter into a greased 9×13 inch baking dish. Dollop the cream cheese mixture on top, then pour the remaining batter over it.
  6. Sprinkle the chocolate chips evenly on top.
  7. Bake for 30–35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  8. Let it cool for a few minutes in the pan before serving.

Notes

Make it gluten-free by swapping the cake mix for a gluten-free alternative. Use seasonal fruits for variety.
