- 1 package (8 oz) cream cheese, softened
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 package (1 lb) puff pastry
- 1 cup fresh strawberries, sliced
- 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
- Optional powdered sugar for dusting
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- In a medium bowl, mix the softened cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until creamy.
- Roll out the puff pastry on a lightly floured surface and cut into heart shapes.
- Place a spoonful of the cream cheese mixture in the center of each heart and top with a few slices of strawberries.
- Fold the edges of the heart towards the center and pinch to seal.
- Brush the tops with the beaten egg for a golden finish.
- Bake on a parchment-lined baking sheet for 12-15 minutes until golden and puffed.
- Let cool slightly before dusting with powdered sugar.
