Ingredients

  • 1 package (8 oz) cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 package (1 lb) puff pastry
  • 1 cup fresh strawberries, sliced
  • 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
  • Optional powdered sugar for dusting

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a medium bowl, mix the softened cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until creamy.
  3. Roll out the puff pastry on a lightly floured surface and cut into heart shapes.
  4. Place a spoonful of the cream cheese mixture in the center of each heart and top with a few slices of strawberries.
  5. Fold the edges of the heart towards the center and pinch to seal.
  6. Brush the tops with the beaten egg for a golden finish.
  7. Bake on a parchment-lined baking sheet for 12-15 minutes until golden and puffed.
  8. Let cool slightly before dusting with powdered sugar.
