Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Roll out the puff pastry sheet on a lightly floured surface and cut out heart shapes.
- In a mixing bowl, combine cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth.
- Gently fold in the chopped fresh strawberries.
- Place the heart-shaped pastries on a parchment-lined baking sheet and spoon filling into the center of each shape.
- Fold the outer edges of the pastry towards the center to form a slight border.
- Brush the edges with the beaten egg for a golden finish.
- Bake for 15 minutes, until puffed up and lightly golden brown.
- Allow to cool slightly before serving.
