Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 bone-in pork chops, about 1-inch thick
  • 1 cup buttermilk (or milk and lemon juice)
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour (or almond flour for gluten-free)
  • 1/4 cup cornstarch
  • 1 tablespoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Oil for frying (vegetable or peanut oil)
  • Fresh herbs for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Marinate the pork chops in buttermilk for at least 30 minutes.
  2. In a shallow dish, mix flour, cornstarch, salt, pepper, paprika, and garlic powder.
  3. Remove chops from buttermilk and dredge in the flour mixture.
  4. Heat 1/2 inch of oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.
  5. Fry pork chops for 4-5 minutes on each side until golden brown and cooked through.
  6. Drain on paper towels and serve.

Notes

For a healthier alternative, consider baking the pork chops instead of frying them.
