  • 1 pound of shrimp (peeled and deveined)
  • 4 cloves of garlic (minced)
  • 1 large onion (sliced)
  • 1 red bell pepper (sliced, optional)
  • 2 tablespoons of olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon of paprika
  • Salt and pepper (to taste)
  • Fresh lemon juice (optional, for serving)

Instructions

  1. In a large skillet over medium heat, pour in the olive oil until it shimmers.
  2. Add the sliced onion and minced garlic; sauté for 3-4 minutes until translucent and fragrant.
  3. Stir in the cabbage and red bell pepper (if using); cook for 6-8 minutes until tender, stirring occasionally.
  4. Push the cabbage mix to the sides and add the shrimp to the center; sprinkle with paprika, salt, and pepper. Cook for about 4-5 minutes until shrimp are pink and opaque.
  5. Gently toss everything to combine and cook for an additional 2 minutes. Adjust seasoning if necessary.
  6. Remove from heat and squeeze fresh lemon juice over the top before serving.

Notes

Consider adding seasonal veggies or fresh herbs for added flavor. Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
