Instructions

  1. Preheat Your Oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. In a bowl, mix together flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, beat softened butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
  4. Add egg and extracts, beating until fully combined.
  5. Gradually incorporate the dry mixture into the wet mixture until just combined.
  6. Scoop balls of dough onto prepared baking sheets, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
  7. Bake for 10-12 minutes until soft in the center.
  8. Cool on baking sheets for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
  9. To make frosting, combine powdered sugar, softened butter, milk, and vanilla, then frost cooled cookies.
