Description
A delightful recipe for juicy and tender pork chops smothered in a flavorful sauce, perfect for any dinner occasion.
Ingredients
Scale
- 4 bone-in pork chops (about 1 inch thick)
- 1 cup buttermilk
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- ½ teaspoon onion powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 cup chicken broth
- 1 medium onion, sliced thin
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 2 tablespoons fresh parsley for garnish
Instructions
- Marinate the pork chops in buttermilk for at least 30 minutes, or up to overnight.
- Remove the chops from buttermilk and allow excess to drip off. Mix flour, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and pepper in a shallow dish. Dredge each pork chop in the seasoned flour.
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Once hot, add the pork chops and sear for about 4-5 minutes on each side until golden brown.
- Remove the pork chops from the skillet. In the same skillet, add sliced onions and sauté until translucent. Add minced garlic and stir for an additional minute before adding chicken broth and Worcestershire sauce.
- Return the pork chops to the skillet, spoon some sauce over each, and cover. Lower the heat to a simmer and cook for an additional 30-35 minutes.
Notes
For an extra crispy crust, let the coated chops rest for 10 minutes before frying. Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
