- 6 ounces smoked salmon, chopped
- 2 tablespoons capers, rinsed and chopped
- 1 small red onion, finely diced
- 2 tablespoons fresh dill, chopped
- 1 tablespoon lemon zest
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
- 1 teaspoon everything bagel seasoning, plus more for garnish
- Freshly ground black pepper to taste
Instructions
- Soften the cream cheese: Place it on the counter or microwave until spreadable.
- Combine base ingredients: Mix cream cheese with sour cream or Greek yogurt, then add Dijon, lemon zest, and juice.
- Fold in flavor: Gently mix in smoked salmon, capers, red onion, and dill. Season with black pepper.
- Season and finish: Add everything bagel seasoning, reserving some for garnish. Adjust salt if necessary.
- Serve chilled or warmed: Refrigerate for 30 minutes or bake at 350°F for 10–12 minutes until bubbly.
Notes
For a lighter version, swap half the cream cheese for low-fat cottage cheese. To make it festive, top with cucumber ribbons and extra dill.
