Instructions

  1. Season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper.

  3. Transfer the sautéed onions and garlic to the slow cooker. Add chicken breasts, cherry tomatoes, chicken broth, and Italian seasoning, then gently stir.
  4. Cover and cook on low for 4 to 6 hours or high for 2 to 3 hours.
  5. About 30 minutes before serving, remove chicken, stir in heavy cream, and return chicken to heat through.
  6. Garnish with fresh basil before serving.
