Description
Delightful seafood stuffed shells filled with a savory mixture of seafood, ricotta, and fresh spinach, baked in marinara sauce for a gourmet pasta experience.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 box jumbo pasta shells (about 12–16 shells)
- 1 pound seafood mix (shrimp, scallops, and crab meat)
- 15 ounces ricotta cheese
- 1 cup shredded Parmesan cheese
- 2 cups fresh spinach
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- 2 cups marinara sauce
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Boil a large pot of salted water and cook the jumbo shells for about 9-11 minutes until al dente.
- In a skillet over medium heat, sauté garlic in olive oil until fragrant. Add the seafood mix and spinach, cooking until seafood is opaque. Let cool slightly.
- In a large bowl, combine the seafood mixture, ricotta, half of the Parmesan, and Italian seasoning. Season with salt and pepper.
- Fill each jumbo shell with the seafood mixture and place them in a baking dish.
- Spread marinara sauce on the bottom of the dish, place the stuffed shells upright, cover them with remaining sauce, and top with the rest of the Parmesan.
- Cover with foil and bake for 25 minutes. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 5-10 minutes until bubbly and golden.
Notes
Avoid overcooking the shells and ensure there’s enough sauce for moisture.
