Description

Enjoy flaky, buttery salmon with a caramelized top and a lemony finish that’s easy to make and perfect for any occasion.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 salmon fillets (6 ounces each), skin on
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 tablespoon honey or maple syrup
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • Zest and juice of half a lemon
  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
  • Optional: chopped fresh parsley and lemon wedges for serving

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment.
  2. Pat the salmon dry and place fillets skin-side down on the sheet.
  3. Whisk together olive oil, Dijon mustard, honey, smoked paprika, minced garlic, lemon zest, and a squeeze of lemon juice until glossy.
  4. Brush the glaze generously over each fillet. Season with salt and pepper.
  5. Roast in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until the salmon flakes easily.
  6. Remove from the oven and let rest for 2 minutes. Finish with a squeeze of lemon and a sprinkle of parsley. Serve immediately.

Notes

For a little char, place under the broiler for 1 minute at the end — watch closely so it does not burn.
