Ingredients
Scale
- 1 pound chicken tenders
- 1 cup buttermilk
- 1 cup breadcrumbs
- ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh herbs (optional, such as parsley or thyme)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
- In a medium bowl, combine the buttermilk with a pinch of salt and pepper. Add the chicken tenders and marinate for at least 10 minutes.
- In a separate bowl, mix together the breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, garlic powder, and paprika.
- Remove each chicken tender from the buttermilk, letting the excess drip off, and dredge in the breadcrumb mixture, pressing gently to adhere.
- Lay each tender on a lightly greased baking sheet, ensuring space between them.
- Bake for 15-20 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden brown and the internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C).
- Rest the chicken tenders for a few minutes before serving.
Notes
Use whole wheat breadcrumbs for added fiber or almond flour for a gluten-free version. Fresh herbs can elevate the flavors.
