Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, and salt. Whisk them together.
  3. Cream the softened butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
  4. Add the eggs, one at a time, followed by the milk and vanilla extract. Mix until smooth.
  5. Gradually stir the dry ingredients into the wet mixture until just combined.
  6. Pour half of the batter into a greased 9×13-inch baking dish.
  7. Sprinkle half of the ground cinnamon over the batter and dollop the remaining batter on top. Use a knife to swirl cinnamon throughout.
  8. Sprinkle a final layer of cinnamon on top.
  9. Bake for 30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.

Notes

For a nuttier flavor, add ½ cup of chopped walnuts or pecans. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to three days at room temperature or a week in the fridge.
