- 1 cup granulated sugar
- ½ cup unsalted butter, softened
- 2 large eggs
- 1 cup milk
- 2 tablespoons ground cinnamon
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, and salt. Whisk them together.
- Cream the softened butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add the eggs, one at a time, followed by the milk and vanilla extract. Mix until smooth.
- Gradually stir the dry ingredients into the wet mixture until just combined.
- Pour half of the batter into a greased 9×13-inch baking dish.
- Sprinkle half of the ground cinnamon over the batter and dollop the remaining batter on top. Use a knife to swirl cinnamon throughout.
- Sprinkle a final layer of cinnamon on top.
- Bake for 30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
Notes
For a nuttier flavor, add ½ cup of chopped walnuts or pecans. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to three days at room temperature or a week in the fridge.
