- 4 large eggs
- 1/4 cup milk
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1/2 cup sliced turkey
- 1/2 cup sliced Swiss cheese
- 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
- 2 slices of bread
- Maple syrup (optional for drizzling)
Instructions
- Whisk together the eggs, milk, salt, and pepper until frothy.
- Heat a non-stick skillet over medium heat with a bit of butter or oil.
- Pour the egg mixture into the skillet and cook undisturbed for about 3-4 minutes until the edges begin to set.
- Once slightly runny, sprinkle the turkey and Swiss cheese over one half of the omelet, then drizzle with Dijon mustard.
- Fold the omelet in half over the filling and let it cook until the cheese melts and the eggs are fully cooked.
- Place the omelet on a slice of bread, add the second slice on top, and optionally toast both sides in the skillet.
- Cut the sandwich in half, serve warm, and drizzle with maple syrup if desired.
Notes
For healthier options, you can use whole grain bread or add spinach. Feel free to get creative with herbs and spices.
