- 1 pound shrimp (peeled and deveined)
- 3 tablespoons butter
- 4 cloves garlic (minced)
- 1 lemon (zested and juiced)
- Salt and pepper (to taste)
- Fresh parsley (chopped, for garnish)
Instructions
- Rinse and drain your shrimp. Pat dry with a paper towel and season with salt and pepper.
- In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Just before it begins to bubble, reduce the heat slightly.
- Add the minced garlic to the skillet. Sauté for about 1-2 minutes, until fragrant and just golden.
- Add the seasoned shrimp to the skillet in a single layer. Cook for about 2-3 minutes on one side until they turn pink.
- Flip the shrimp and add the lemon zest and juice. Cook for another 2-3 minutes until fully cooked and opaque.
- Remove from heat and sprinkle with freshly chopped parsley for a burst of color and flavor.
Notes
Add a pinch of red pepper flakes for a spicy kick or toss in some cherry tomatoes or spinach for extra nutrition.
