Instructions

  1. Create the Marinade: In a mixing bowl, combine soy sauce, brown sugar, garlic, ginger, sesame oil, and mirin. Whisk together until the sugar dissolves completely.
  2. Marinate the Ribs: Place the short ribs into a large zip-lock bag or a deep dish. Pour the marinade over the ribs, ensuring they’re fully submerged. Seal and refrigerate for at least 1 hour, preferably overnight.
  3. Preheat Your Oven: Preheat your oven to 300°F (150°C).
  4. Prepare for Cooking: Remove the ribs from the marinade and place them on a baking sheet lined with aluminum foil. Reserve the marinade.
  5. Bake the Ribs: Cover the ribs tightly with foil and bake for 2 hours.
