Instructions
- Peel the potatoes and cut them into equal-sized chunks (about 1-2 inches).
- Place the potato chunks into the Instant Pot, pour in the broth, and add minced garlic if using.
- Secure the lid on the Instant Pot and set it to high pressure for 10 minutes.
- Use the quick-release method to release steam once the cooking time is up.
- Open the lid and mash the potatoes with a potato masher or hand mixer, adding butter, sour cream, salt, and pepper until smooth.
