  • ½ cup honey
  • ¼ cup soy sauce
  • 45 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 teaspoon ginger, grated
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • Black pepper, to taste
  • Green onions, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Rinse and pat dry the chicken thighs, removing any excess moisture. Season with black pepper.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together honey, soy sauce, minced garlic, ginger, and sesame oil until well combined.
  3. Place the chicken thighs in the slow cooker. Pour the honey garlic sauce over them, ensuring every piece is coated.
  4. Cover the slow cooker and set it on low for 6-8 hours or high for 3-4 hours.
  5. Use a meat thermometer to ensure the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C). The chicken should be tender and easily pull apart.
  6. Once done, drizzle some of the delicious sauce over the chicken and sprinkle with green onions. Serve warm.

Notes

For a healthier option, use skinless chicken thighs. You can add vegetables during the last hour of cooking for added nutrition.
