This honey butter cornbread is sweet, buttery, and so easy to make! Perfect for serving alongside any meal, it’s soft, moist, and full of flavor.

- 1/2 cup butter (melted)
- 2/3 cup granulated sugar
- 2 Tbsp honey
- 2 large eggs
- 1–1/4 cups buttermilk (shaken well)
- 1 cup yellow cornmeal
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 tsp baking soda
- 1/4 tsp kosher salt
For the Drizzle:
- 1/4 cup butter (melted)
- 2 Tbsp honey
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease an 8×8-inch square baking dish.
- In a bowl, mix melted butter, sugar, and honey. Whisk in eggs, then buttermilk.
- Stir in cornmeal, flour, baking soda, and salt until combined.
- Pour batter into prepared dish and bake for 45-50 minutes, or until toothpick comes out clean.
- Mix melted butter and honey for the drizzle.
- Poke cornbread and drizzle honey butter over top. Let sit for 5 minutes before slicing.
