Description

Irresistibly tender Hawaiian pulled pork sliders with a sweet and tangy flavor, perfect for parties and gatherings.

Ingredients

  • Pork shoulder or butt (3-4 lbs)
  • Hawaiian BBQ sauce (1 cup)
  • Soy sauce (1/4 cup)
  • Brown sugar (1/4 cup)
  • Pineapple juice (1/2 cup)
  • Garlic cloves (4, minced)
  • Onion (1, sliced)
  • Slider buns (12)
  • Coleslaw mix (optional)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Pork: Trim excess fat from the pork shoulder and cut it into large chunks.
  2. Mix the Marinade: In a bowl, combine Hawaiian BBQ sauce, soy sauce, brown sugar, and pineapple juice.
  3. Season and Cook: Place pork chunks in a slow cooker, pour marinade over, add onions and garlic. Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours.
  4. Pull the Pork: Remove pork, shred using two forks, and return to slow cooker.
  5. Combine with Sauce: Toss shredded pork with sauce and keep warm in the slow cooker.
  6. Assemble the Sliders: Toast buns if desired, fill with pulled pork, and top with coleslaw if using. Cap with the top bun.

Notes

Consider using pork loin or chicken for a healthier alternative. Serve with toppings like grilled pineapple or pickled vegetables.
