Description

Delicious and comforting baked ham and cheese sliders, perfect for family gatherings or a cozy weeknight meal.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 12 slider buns (preferably Hawaiian rolls)
  • 1 pound sliced ham (honey or smoked)
  • 1 pound cheese (Swiss, cheddar, or American)
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter (melted)
  • 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
  • 2 tablespoons poppy seeds (optional)
  • 1 tablespoon dried parsley

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Slice the slider buns horizontally and place the bottom half in a greased 9×13 inch baking dish.
  3. Layer the ham evenly across the bottom half of the buns, followed by a generous layer of cheese.
  4. Place the top half of the buns back on to create sliders.
  5. In a small bowl, whisk together melted butter, Dijon mustard, and poppy seeds.
  6. Brush the mixture generously over the top of the buns.
  7. Cover with foil and bake for 15 minutes. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 5-10 minutes until golden brown and bubbly.
  8. Let them cool slightly, slice into individual sliders, and serve warm.

Notes

For a healthier option, use whole-grain buns and low-sodium meats. Consider adding sautéed onions or seasonal fruits for a twist.
