- 8 ounces favorite noodles (spaghetti, udon, or rice noodles)
- ¼ cup unsalted butter (or vegan butter)
- 2–3 tablespoons gochujang
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce (or tamari)
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 green onions, finely chopped
- Sesame seeds for garnish (optional)
- Fresh vegetables or proteins (broccoli, bell peppers, shrimp, or tofu)
Instructions
- In a large pot, bring salted water to a boil and cook noodles according to package instructions until al dente. Reserve a cup of pasta water, then drain.
- In a large skillet over medium heat, melt the butter.
- Add minced garlic and sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Stir in gochujang, soy sauce, and sesame oil, letting it bubble for a minute.
- Add drained noodles to the skillet and toss gently, adding reserved pasta water as needed.
- Toss in chopped green onions until just wilted.
- Plate and garnish with sesame seeds and a drizzle of sesame oil.
Notes
Consider adding your favorite veggies or proteins for a more substantial meal. Let the dish sit briefly before serving to allow flavors to meld.
