Description

A comforting dish of tender chicken, perfectly cooked pasta, and a rich, creamy garlic sauce, enhanced with Parmesan cheese.


Ingredients

  • 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 8 ounces pasta (penne or fettuccine)
  • 4 cloves fresh garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Chopped parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. Gather all ingredients for smooth cooking.
  2. Cook pasta in boiling salted water until al dente; reserve 1 cup pasta water, then drain.
  3. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat, season chicken with salt and pepper, and cook for 6-7 minutes on each side until golden brown.
  4. Remove chicken, add minced garlic to the skillet, and sauté for 1 minute.
  5. Pour in heavy cream and bring to a simmer.
  6. Stir in grated Parmesan cheese until the sauce thickens, adding reserved pasta water if needed.
  7. Slice cooked chicken, add it back to the skillet with drained pasta, and toss everything together.
  8. Garnish with chopped parsley and serve warm.

Notes

For a lighter version, substitute heavy cream with Greek yogurt. You can also add seasonal veggies for health and color!
