  • 2 tsp garam masala
  • 1 tsp turmeric powder
  • Salt to taste
  • Fresh cilantro for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the chopped onion, stirring until translucent (about 5 minutes).
  2. Stir in the minced garlic and grated ginger, cooking for an additional minute until fragrant.
  3. Sprinkle in the turmeric and garam masala, stirring to combine and allowing the spices to toast for a minute.
  4. Pour in the canned tomatoes, stirring to mix thoroughly. Bring to a gentle simmer and reduce heat slightly, allowing flavors to develop for about 5 minutes.
  5. Slowly pour the heavy cream into the sauce, stirring continuously until the sauce thickens and turns creamy.
  6. Add the chicken, ensuring it’s coated with sauce. Cook for about 10-12 minutes or until the chicken is cooked through.
  7. Season with salt to taste and garnish with fresh cilantro.

Notes

For a lighter option, substitute heavy cream with coconut milk or Greek yogurt. Customize the spice level according to your preference.
