Ingredients
- Marshmallows (10-12)
- All-Purpose Flour (1 cup)
- Baking Powder (1 tsp)
- Sugar (¼ cup)
- Milk (¾ cup)
- Vanilla Extract (1 tsp)
- Vegetable Oil (for frying)
Instructions
- In a deep pan, heat about 2 inches of oil over medium heat.
- In a mixing bowl, combine flour, baking powder, sugar, milk, and vanilla extract. Stir until just combined.
- Dip each marshmallow into the batter, ensuring it’s fully coated.
- Using a slotted spoon, carefully lower a few battered marshmallows into the hot oil and fry until golden brown, about 1-2 minutes per side.
- Remove from oil and place on a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil. Dust generously with powdered sugar.
- Serve warm as is, or with a chocolate or caramel dipping sauce.
Notes
For a fun twist, roll marshmallows in crushed graham crackers before frying or add cocoa powder to the batter.
