- 2 cups of mashed potatoes
- 1 cup of shredded cheese (cheddar, mozzarella, or your favorite melt)
- 1/4 cup of grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/4 cup of all-purpose flour
- 1 large egg
- 1/2 teaspoon of garlic powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Oil for frying or cooking spray for baking
Instructions
- Combine the Ingredients: In a large bowl, mix together your cooled mashed potatoes, shredded cheese, Parmesan cheese, flour, egg, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
- Form the Puffs: Using your hands, scoop about a tablespoon of the mixture and roll it into small balls. Place them on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
- Prepare for Cooking: Heat a few inches of oil in a deep skillet over medium heat or preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) with a baking sheet prepared with cooking spray.
- Fry or Bake: Carefully place the balls into the hot oil, cooking until golden brown, about 4-5 minutes, or arrange the puffs on the baking sheet and spray the tops with a little oil, baking for about 20 minutes.
- Cool and Serve: Allow the puffs to cool for a few minutes before serving.
