- 2 pounds of Yukon Gold potatoes
- 4 cloves of garlic
- 1/2 cup of whole milk
- 1/2 cup of unsalted butter
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley (optional)
Instructions
- Peel and cut the potatoes into evenly sized chunks.
- Place the cut potatoes in a large pot, cover with cold water, add salt, and boil over medium-high heat until tender.
- Simmer the garlic in butter until infusing flavors, or roast in the oven at 400°F (200°C).
- Drain the potatoes and return to the pot; add the buttery garlic mixture and mash.
- Mix in the milk gradually until reaching desired creaminess; season with salt and pepper.
- Serve in a dish, garnished with parsley.
