Description

Savory and sweet Coca-Cola meatballs that evoke warmth and nostalgia, perfect for family dinners or gatherings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1/2 cup bread crumbs
  • 1 egg
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 1 cup Coca-Cola
  • 1/2 cup ketchup
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • Fresh parsley, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, bread crumbs, egg, chopped onion, minced garlic, salt, and pepper. Mix until just combined.
  3. Shape the mixture into 1-inch meatballs and place on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
  4. Bake the meatballs for 15 minutes, until browned and cooked through.
  5. While the meatballs are baking, prepare the sauce by combining Coca-Cola, ketchup, soy sauce, and Worcestershire sauce in a saucepan. Bring to a simmer over medium heat.
  6. Let the sauce thicken for 5-7 minutes.
  7. Add the baked meatballs to the sauce, stirring gently to coat. Cook for an additional 5 minutes.
  8. Serve warm, garnished with fresh parsley.

Notes

For a lighter option, try using ground turkey or chicken. You can also store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days.
